Our Values
We are women owned and operated.
Healing is the top priority. Everything we do strives to be good for the earth and people.
Workers are paid a competitive wage. Electric cars are used for the majority of the driving.
We have a nursery dealer stock license and use the best quality soil and plants possible.
We source from Scioto Gardens or Leaves for Wildlife, which are native plant nurseries. They use recycled plastic plant containers and focus on all native plants. Additional plants are sourced from quality wholesale nurseries such as Acorn Farms, Oakland nursery, and Millcreek.
Celia Kahle, Founder and Designer
Celia lives on a small food forest and permaculture site in Columbus, Ohio. She enjoys her morning garden meditation and a chance to connect with the plants and wildlife. Everyday a time to harvest a little bit of tulsi for tea or basil to make pesto.
She loves to talk plants, soil, and how to design amazing spaces.
She is passionate being part of a new paradigm of pollinator gardens, slow lasagna-style bed prep, and taking back our landscapes to help us live more joyful and healthy lives. Sustainability in this case means gardens that benefit all beings: the microorganisms, plants, and the other living creatures of earth and air.
Bernadett Szabo, Lead Gardener
Bernadett Szabo lives in Pataskala, OH on a small herb, flower and vegetable farm. She was born in Hungary where she spent summers in her grandmother’s gardens, participating in the care, and most enthusiastically in the harvest of all fruits, berries, flowers, and veggies. Once in Ohio, Bernadett joined OEFFA to deepen her knowledge of growing food and medicinal crops. She follows deep organic practices with some biodynamic principles on her homestead.
